Synchronize Lookups Article

The Lookup data on the Assumptions tab can differ (be out of synch) from the Source data because:

1) The Data on the Assumptions tab was changed; or

2) The Source data was changed.  Please note  that data on the Assumptions tab is static and does not automatically refresh when the source data is changed.


This Tool reports on the data that is out of synch and can re-synch the data.  Related functionality to identify out-of-synch data includes Budget Summary-Lookup Synch Status and Refresh Lookup Syn Status.



  1. Per the screen instructions select the Search and search which then display the out-of-synch lookup data in assumptions.  (Please note the upward pointing double arrow can be clicked to hide the instructions for more screen real estate);
  2. To view the difference between the Lookup Source data and the Actual Account data on the Assumption tab, drill down in the Lookup Source on each respective row.  This will display the "Current version of lookup source data".;
  3. To re-synchronize the data, either drill down into the BudgetAccount as indicated.  This will return you to the assumption grid whre you can update the reference by re-fetching the loopup; or
  4. Click the "Synchronize" button and this will update all the out-of-synch records.  Clicking this button will result in the below message.  Click "OK" to clear the screen.
